Presented at the 25th annual conference in San Francisco on the effects of language shift as it pertained to China born and United States born Chinese students living in San Francisco. The purpose of the presentation was to share critical reflections from dialogues conducted during a participatory research on language shift from cultural, sociological, and educational perspectives. - 1996 - Conference Presenter. The lecture included a theoretical foundation espoused by Cummins, Krashen, and Vygotsky and discussed practical application for acquiring English.
Professional Honors, Certifications, and Licenses Areas of Consulting Interest Biography Irving Leung is currently an Assistant Professor and the Director of Special Education at Alliant Itnernational Unversity, where he developed and co-teaches the Mild to Moderate Special Education Program. He writes the curriculum for special education classes and collaborates with school district officials to streamline training in special education. As Director of Field Supervision from 2006-2007 he supervised field mentors with general education interns by using the California Standards of Teaching Profession and managed services to determine mentoring effectiveness.
